When the query cache is enabled, SAS Web Report Studio adds a data item to the query only once, even if the data item is used multiple times in the report. This action is taken for performance reasons. However, if the data item is identified by more than one label, then you might see the following error:
[a12844906598800.9734210923505455_2_0] Error Rendering the Report com.sas.iquery.metadata.expr.ResourceAwareStringExpression Root Cause: java.lang.ClassCastException: com.sas.iquery.metadata.expr.ResourceAwareStringExpression at com.sas.report.render.optimizer.util.ExpressionResolverUtil.resolveQualifiedColu mn(ExpressionResolverUtil.java:519) at com.sas.report.render.optimizer.util.ExpressionResolverUtil.resolveExpression(Ex pressionResolverUtil.java:145) .......
For example, a data item might be referenced by more than one label if it is used by itself and also in an expression for a calculated data item.
As a workaround, you can disable the query cache, as explained in Improving the Performance of SAS Web Report Studio.
